We are a two brain operation. According to the theory of left-brain and right-brain dominance, each side of the brain controls different types of functioning. In the instance of illustr8, the right-brain (a.k.a. Sandi) controls the expressive and creative tasks. She is the designer extraordinaire. The left-brain (a.k.a. Nicole) is adept at tasks that involve logic and analysis. She is in charge of the servers, the code, and project management. As a whole, we operate with a sincere desire to create and take on every job with absolute commitment. Our services range from designing business cards to creating splashy headlines to designing and building you a WordPress website from scratch.

left-brainNicole stumbled across web design by accident. With a Bachelor of Design in Fashion from Ryerson University, Nicole is fluent in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Never one to let other people do things for her, she taught herself how to use FTP servers, MySQL databases, CSS and HTML, and overall how to operate within the world of WordPress. Now Nicole has years of experience working on websites for other companies including Centre of Gravity and New Leaf Yoga Foundation. She is the team’s project manager and takes care of all things code and server -related. When she isn’t building websites, Nicole is riding her bike, reading, crafting, and learning the lessons of being a new parent.

Sandi Madison

right-brainSandi ❤’s talking about herself in the third person. She is a designerd and creates with Illustrator, Photoshop, and (only in extreme circumstances) through the lost art form known as “pen on paper.” She has been working with web, branding, and print for the past 10 years for both large and small companies in interactive, commercial and non-profit sectors. Her strengths lie in her ability to integrate her clients’ needs into forward thinking solutions, providing an engaging user experience. Clients have included Moksha Yoga, New Leaf Yoga Foundation, Padmani.com, and more. You can also find Sandi working in partnership with iTristan Media Group.
